Have you ever seen a ghost? Probably not, right? What is a ghost?
Some say ghosts are invisible. You take notice of their actions, for example there are stories of Poltergeister who wreak havoc and destroy objects and homes and disturb the peace.
You can believe in that or not.
I haven’t seen a ghost yet, but if you think about it there is a lot that you can’t see and yet we can be pretty sure that it exists. Laws of nature and radiation, for example. We see its effects.
Have you ever seen the internet?
After all, you’re in it right now, aren’t you? But you can only see your screen, your mobile phone, your tablet. In fact, the internet is invisible. You can see the things that are required for the internet. Servers and halls made of steel, machines and power plants. But you will never see the Internet itself. You could almost say that it is an illusion.
And what were ghosts again?
Now imagine that there are ghosts in the deep expanse of the Internet. Remnants of old algorithms, things that develop from old junk code. Imagine there is such a thing as self-thinking and acting beings in the expanses of artificial intelligence. Or is it that artificial intelligence becomes independent and continues to develop?
Who doesn’t know films like Matrix or Terminator?
Imagine that the Internet does not behave rationally, but independently. We believe that the Internet is absolutely and completely controlled because every impact has a cause that someone has programmed. Everything has a code. Isn’t it a disturbing, but also exciting, thought what if there was something that changed that code?
